I compared the first five centuries of the Church to present day; much of the modern church had been infiltrated by pragmatism and relativism, where as the early church having fought through the various heresies of the first three centuries, was more God centered, focusing on the work of the Holy Trinity.

I soon discovered The Book of Common Prayer and the wonderful liturgy of our forefathers. I then began searching for godly bishops, overseers who would not compromise the truth of scripture for cultural acceptance. In nineteen-ninety seven I was introduced to Bishop Dan Cox of the Reformed Episcopal Church and subsequently to Bishop Leonard Riches presiding Bishop of the REC. They both exhibited pastoral qualities and their love for the Lord and His church was evident. Since then I have met many wonderful clergy and laity in the REC that have been a great encouragement to me and our church. I am thankful to the Lord God Almighty who continues to guide me along the Via Media.
